Jeanie Callen BaratJeanie Callen Barat

Owner, Fitness Consultant

Master trainer and company founder, Jeanie Callen Barat is a premier fitness consultant dedicated to helping clients achieve their health and fitness goals. She has been working with clients of all fitness levels for over seven years.

Jeanie obtained her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities. Following college, she completed the management development program at Carlson Companies and worked as a marketing consultant full time while training clients part time. In 2001, Jeanie moved to San Diego and launched Callen Fitness.

She received her national certification from the American Council on Exercise. Through continued education, Jeanie has earned her certificate in functional and pre-/post-natal training. Her enthusiasm for fitness and training lead her to compete in marathons and half Ironman triathlons. She also enjoys public speaking where she has a chance to share her passion for fitness with others.

Jeanie currently resides in San Diego but has a national client base. She works one-on-one with clients locally, but she also serves clients nationally through online training and phone coaching.

 

Shelia BurrellShelia Burrell

Trainer, Speed and Conditioning Coach

Shelia Burrell competed in the 2000 and 2004 Olympic Games and is a five-time U.S. Track and Field Champion in the heptathlon, a demanding two-day event consisting of the 100 meter hurdles, high jump, shot put, 200 meters, long jump, javelin and 800 meters.

Shelia has been named “Best Female All-Around Track and Field Athlete” and is the sole American to win a championship medal at an international competition since Jackie Joyner Kersee. She is also a motivational speaker to young people and adults, a corporate fitness consultant and a certified speed and conditioning coach.

At Callen Fitness, she applies her talent and competitive training knowledge to fitness programs that can be incorporated into any lifestyle. “If you want to look like an athlete, do what athletes do and train to perform better in your daily life,” says Shelia.

 

 

Jen WheelerJen Wheeler

Personal Training Specialis

Jen Wheeler has been doing personal training since 2002 and is currently working in Cardiac Rehabilitation as an Exercise Physiologist as well. Jen has certification for both Personal Training and Advanced Personal Training through Aerobics and Fitness Association of America (AFAA). She specializes in providing functional training using a variety of equipment including the BOSU, stability ball, medicine ball, free weights and body weight. A full workout incorporates flexibility, balance, endurance and strength.

Jen's philosophy is that everyone can include fitness into their busy schedules so they can improve the quality of their lives. Regular physical activity is important for the release of daily stress and an improve overall feeling of well-being.
